RH Delivery damaged numerous household goods on my interstate move - broken picture frames, broken glass on several framed art pieces damaging the art, shattered a glass table, cracked a bed castor mount, cut leather, broke a statue, plus other dings and dents. This is my seventh interstate move (first with RHD) and there was more damage to my goods than the other six COMBINED.
It gets worse–after the fact they informed me of their bare-bones insurance, insurance below that which is required BY LAW for interstate movers. I was assured verbally that Replacement Value insurance coverage was “not a problem”. But when I asked for claims forms, I was told it was “too late” and that 7 days was “common practice” for claims filing with interstate movers. From prior interstate moves, I knew that was false–the customer has nine months to file a claim. All RH Delivery carries is $25,000 for a catastrophic truck incident and a minimal 60 cents per pound coverage. They won’t accept a claim after 7 days. Both are contrary to laws governed by the FMCSA (DOT); RH Delivery also has no DOT registration, as required of interstate movers, and they have no Dispute Resolution Process or Arbitration Process.
RH Delivery was grossly negligent. They were hired to pack, as needed, and clear and move all goods from my house. 3 weeks after the move I got notice from the landlord that I was being charged to clear items from the house, with pictures attached. Inexplicably, RH Delivery left numerous items behind – 2 suitcases; an upright vacuum cleaner and a carpet shampooer; clothing items; portable A/C unit; bath towel sets; and more! Several thousand dollars of my goods that they left. Scattered throughout the house–they didn’t bother to walk the house to ensure they cleared it out, as they were hired to do.They refused to take responsibility! They refused to accept an insurance claim! They even refused to acknowledge their error despite irrefutable photo evidence! An unfathomable lack of responsibility and competence.
RH Delivery does not understand their business. The day they were to be finished with my loading, at 2 PM I was told they would be pulling out at “4, latest 4:30”. I had to leave Colorado the next morning and, at 10 AM, they were STILL loading. They had no clue on what should be their expertise. RH Delivery delivered goods to 2 storage units. They put those units under their name and assured me I could get them switched to my name. Not so! Public Storage assured me they NEVER switch the customer names, and the RHD owner did not know that, despite claiming to have PS units rented all over the country. I cannot use the PS App, I have to go in person to pay, I cannot send or receive messages, it is untenable. I have requested that RH Delivery move the goods to units in my name. No surprise, they refused! They insist they have fulfilled their obligation in delivering the units to storage, despite the storage being unusable. Packing and delivery were a mess–cables separated from their electronics, shelves separated from bookshelves, modem and router packed in an unmarked box and buried, requiring purchase of new equipment.
RH Delivery’s owner will act like your best friend, full of confidence about getting everything done. Be extremely aware of RH Delivery. If you want to engage them, particularly for an interstate move, check their compliance with laws governing interstate movers on insurance, claims, and dispute resolution. The quality of their moving and packing service was quite poor with lots of damage. Their interstate moving services do not comply with FMSCA legal requirements. At every turn, they refused to pay for damages that are of their doing. All this while charging a premium price for their service! Their website boasts of a “100% satisfaction guarantee” which they have ignored. They take NO responsibility for their work product. I am being forced to deal with difficult measures to try and recover the thousands of dollars that are owed me as a result of the incompetence and negligence of RH Delivery.

I recently purchased a Dinning Room Table from Arhaus. Jerry’s movers moved the table into our home but managed to put a dent into our wall. This is a brand new home, in which we haven’t been in for even a month.
Jerry asked me to send pictures in which I did for him to come repair the dent. He stated he would be able to come by and make the repair but became unresponsive . Not only was he unresponsive but he did not show up to make the repair as he stated he would a week later after the damage, he stated he’d be by in the afternoon and never came. I had to continue to reach out and ask if he still intended on doing so still no reply.
I can agree with the scheduling as well, he texts you like 20 mins out from your address and changes the date without notice.
His prices are pretty pricey as well.

The communication first started out great and Jerry came to my house. After I should have know to go a different route. I had to ask multiple times for my quote. I was moving out of state. When it was time to unload it was over 6 hours delayed . All of my custom pieces were damaged. I was told multiple times that day don’t worry everything will be handled and taken care of by insurance and that’s why they have insurance . Which they will say I denied insurance which is absolutely not true and never did I sign anything stating that I did. They would only cover half of $500 and that took him almost a week to finally pay.They only used blankets to cover the furniture even though I asked at beginning about saran wrap being used. Even the people they hired to help move in even stated the damages could have been prevented if they did a better job protecting The furniture . If you do decide to go with this company ask for a bill of lading and insurance claim # if they are stating it’s going through their insurance. They will say it’s sad I’m so ungrateful, but why would I be grateful for multiple pierces being damaged by them.

We could not be happier with our experience with Jerry, Heather, and his team to move us from Texas to Colorado! They offered a great price and were extremely careful with our belongings. We even had an unexpected delay on our part and Jerry eased all of our fears AND made a plan that worked for our budget. I can’t recommend them enough! Their kindness alone is worth a call or email.

It is with deep regret that I share the unethical and slime character Jerry Hargrove displays. He absolutely hoodwinked our family move in the past two days. His estimate, which he rushed through my house to provide was $985.00. His invoice, with complaints that the scope of work was not accurate, was MORE THAN DOUBLE coming in at $1830.00. He is like SPIRIT airlines, tacking on charges, and not taking responsibility for the work. Traipsed through our house with no care of muddy shoes, this is the least of my complaints. He will not take responsibility and threatened legal action if not paid in full. Restoration Hardware Outlet store had ended their long standing relationship with his company, and now I know why. Do not use this company. He’s not worth my time. I’ll pay the $1985, because I am concerned for the safety of my family and no other reason.

I’ve had two good experiences with Jerry and RH delivery previously. However, what happened on March 4th this year will ensure I never use or recommend Jerry to anyone in the future. We contacted Jerry on March 2nd, notifying him that we had items for delivery, and after we agreed on a price he responded “we’ll get you scheduled”. I received no confirmation of a delivery day or time window, and no other correspondence or notification from him until mid-day on March 4th, when he texted “Headed your way” which gave us about a 45-minute advance notice. I did not receive this notice until several hours later, as I do not have access to my cell phone at work. Upon discovering no one was home to accept the delivery, Jerry put our items on the driveway, exposed, at risk of theft, in the sun, and then left. When we discovered what had happened hours later and tried to contact Jerry, he said that we would have been charged twice for delivery if he hadn’t left them on our driveway, and that he could return in 5 days to move the items from the driveway into the house if we could not move them ourselves. I also tried to speak with him to address my frustration that we did not receive a delivery day or time window for this delivery in advance, and he became extremely defensive, raised his voice, and told me that he decided when his deliveries occurred and that he was 100% right to leave our items unattended and exposed on the driveway. His behavior was unprofessional and his decision to abandon expensive and heavy items was irresponsible as a business owner in delivery services. He eventually apologized to us, stating that he believed he was making the best decision (due to the duplicate delivery fee he would have charged), but he did not apologize for his behavior. I would not recommend using RH Delivery – you may not be treated well, and your items may be exposed to the weather and possible theft.

The two negative reviews below are inconsistent with our experience. We used Jerry and team twice in the last year to move, once in Denver and once to a mountain community. Nothing but good things to say - friendly, careful, reasonably priced, efficient, reliable (as the name says). Highly recommend RH.
